CERAMICS

Over the last few years, I've focused on ceramics and live sculpting. It always seemed the natural road to pursue my passion of creating art using my hands. Each piece allows me to pick up and refine techniques. I've been designing larger and more complex pieces leveraging on my Art & Design background. Here are some of the results.

CALM

After an introduction to life sculpturing, this is one of my early pieces.

TORSO

Big Mama as she has got to be known, primarily because of the search for a front loading kiln which took nearly a month, the results were worth it.

Live sculpting a horse was a great experience, Hercules was a well-behaved model.

MIXED MEDIA

Utilising mixed mediums in some of my recent work allows me explore how to combine these techniques.

WIRE DRAGON

Got the chance to attend a weekend wire course at The Phoenix Studio (Towersey), I had been planning on doing a "dragon" for a long time, more pieces to come.

Having a family member who rows allowed me to get some great photographs at Regata's and events.

TACK FUSED BOWL

I've designed a few pieces to incorporate glass and ceramic together, spent time to learn glass fusing techniques and limitations.
